Malnutrition in patients receiving dialysis is associated with poor outcomes. This session provides updates on protein intake recommendations, strategies to counsel patients on diets to maintain cardiovascular health, considerations for patients receiving peritoneal dialysis, and strategies and potential benefits of modulating the colon microbiome with dietary maneuvers.
