ASN Hurricane Relief Efforts: How You Can Help

To help support people living with kidney diseases affected by Hurricane Helene, ASN has contributed to the American Kidney Fund Disaster Relief Grant Program. This rapid-response program dedicates 100% of its donations to help affected kidney patients in need. To contribute, please visit the American Kidney Fund website.

The ASN Emergency Partnership Initiative is working with the Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) Coalition to understand the extent of the hurricane's damage to the kidney communities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. ASN thanks first responders performing wellness checks to find patients who haven't been reached, dialysis organizations for finding extraordinary ways of working together to provide dialysis, and other members of the kidney community for their incredible dedication under demanding circumstances.

Additionally, efforts are underway with key partners and manufacturing companies to monitor the availability of critical supplies in the affected areas and nationwide. ASN is working closely with the entire kidney community to ensure patient care remains a priority throughout the recovery.
