Kidney Week 2024: Housing Overview
Hotel Accommodations
ASN has reserved rooms at 23 hotels in San Diego for Kidney Week 2024. Click here for a complete list of hotels and map. Participants may book their housing online or may call the ASN Housing Bureau at 866-849-8868 or 571-549-4543, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EDT.
Suite Reservations
If you are interested in obtaining a suite, please contact the ASN Housing Bureau at asnhousing@spargoinc.com for a suite form. Forms will be available Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Changes / Cancellations
All hotel reservation changes/cancellations must be made with the ASN Housing Bureau. If your arrival date changes, you must change your reservation accordingly. Arrival on a date other than your confirmed arrival date will result in the loss of your room and deposit forfeiture.
Deposit
A credit card is required to make a reservation. All cancellations must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the scheduled arrival date or a cancellation fee equivalent to the full reservation's room rate and tax will be charged to the credit card on file. Changes to your check in, check out dates, and reservation name changes can be made on the website, via Customer Service (866-849-8868 or 571-549-4543) or in writing via email to asnhousing@spargoinc.com on or before September 20, 2024, at 11:59 pm EDT. All changes are subject to hotel availability.
The credit card attached to the reservation will be charged used as a guarantee ONLY. A credit card must be presented at the time of check in for full payment and incidentals. If you wish to prepay the guest's hotel reservation, please contact the hotel directly after Thursday, October 4, 2024. All major credit cards are accepted.
Confirmation
Your housing confirmation with reservation number will be emailed to the "Primary Contact" within 10 business days of processing your reservation. If attempts to email the confirmation are unsuccessful, then the confirmation will be faxed or mailed. If you do not receive your confirmation within 10 business days, check your spam/junk email folders or contact the ASN Housing Bureau.
Other Terms & Conditions
- Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis as received at the ASN Housing Bureau and according to availability.
- Requests for group accommodations must be submitted online (different deposit and cancellation policies apply).
- If you are sharing a room, be sure to include all names, including children. Include the earliest arrival and latest departure date.
- Room rates are subject to a state and city room tax. Convention rates will only be honored until September 20, 2024, based on availability.
- Penalties for early departure are enforced and vary from hotel to hotel.
Exhibitor Individual and Group Housing
Exhibitors are expected to make housing arrangements through ASN's official housing process and SPARGO, Inc. (ASN's housing vendor) as part of their commitment to and support of the ASN Kidney Week. Bypassing the official housing process - making reservations directly with hotels that are part of the official ASN housing block or making reservations at hotels outside the ASN housing block - is considered a violation of the regulations and will result in the loss of all priority points that would have been accrued by the exhibiting company for ASN Kidney Week.

SPARGO and ABTS: The Only Authorized Housing Vendors for ASN Kidney Week 2024
If you are contacted by any company other than SPARGO or ASN's International Group Housing Counterpart, ABTS, offering housing in San Diego, please note that these companies are not authorized to represent ASN nor do they have access to officially contracted Kidney Week 2024 room blocks or rates in San Diego. Please beware! These unauthorized companies often don't deliver on promises to customers. When customers arrive, reservations are non-existent or the hotels are not conveniently located. Sometimes the rooms have been cancelled and hefty cancellation fees have been placed on the customer's credit card. If you are contacted by any company other than SPARGO or ABTS offering housing in San Diego, or if you have any questions, please contact the Kidney Week 2024 Housing Bureau at asnhousing@spargoinc.com or 1-866-849-8868.
International Group Housing
All international group blocks (5 rooms or more) must be requested through the International Group Housing website by August 16, 2024. Please read all information on this website. Questions and inquiries may be directed to the International Group Housing team at 305-865-4648 or info@asn-igh.com. Group placements are subject to availability.
Please Read Below
ASN has designated SPARGO and ABTS (ASN International Group Housing) as the ONLY official housing bureaus for Kidney Week 2024. If you have booked hotel rooms for Kidney Week with a company other than SPARGO or ABTS, you are outside of ASN's official rooms and as such are not entitled to the benefits of ASN's housing agreements, including shuttle service.
ASN strongly recommends you DO NOT make your Kidney Week hotel reservation with any housing bureau other than SPARGO or ABTS. No other housing bureau has gone through ASN's vetting process and they do not adhere to ASN housing policies designed to protect ASN participants. Please understand that there are no guarantees, if you book through any other source, that the hotel will honor your hotel reservation at check in. In many cases, they are not authorized by the hotels to sell rooms.
Often these companies will misrepresent themselves as ASN's official housing provider. If you are approached by an unofficial ASN housing company offering you a "deal" or claiming the room block is sold out and you must book a room with them right away, please let ASN know by emailing meetings@asn-online.org.
