ASN seeks applications for the inaugural Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) and the ASN journal portfolio. In addition to JASN, ASN's flagship journal, the EIC will oversee the entire ASN journal portfolio, consisting of JASN, CJASN, and Kidney360. The application deadline is Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. EST.

Effective January 1, 2023, ASN has made the decision to discontinue international mailings for printed copies of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN). This change will affect all ASN members who reside outside of North America and receive their journals as part of their ASN membership. All journal content will remain online, and existing journal subscriptions will remain intact, via the respective journal websites.

On April 8, 2022, the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA), the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), and the Renal Healthcare Association (RHA) sent a letter to incoming White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Ashish K. Jha, MD, MPH, urging him and his colleagues across the federal government to prioritize the needs of people living with kidney diseases in pandemic planning and response.

Today, 50 advocates from ASN are on Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers to discuss the need for increased funding for kidney health research at NIDDK, increased funding to accelerate innovation at KidneyX, and to increase access to transplantation by protecting living organ donors with the Living Donor Protection Act.
