Clinical Practice Session
Implementation Science and Quality Improvement Efforts in AKI: Improving in Place
October 25, 2024 | 04:30 PM - 06:00 PM
Location: Room 6B, Convention Center
Session Description
Critical care nephrology has experienced tremendous growth with advances in several areas. However, significant gaps remain in translating those advances to everyday clinical practice. This session covers the principles of implementation science and provide insight from real-world quality improvement projects designed to prevent AKI or improve post-AKI outcomes.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe principles of systems engineering to facilitate quality improvement in clinical practice
- Develop approaches to overcoming common barriers to clinical practice improvement
- Identify specific clinical opportunities to apply quality improvement initiatives in the setting of AKI care
