Session Description
Shared decision-making should be used to make management decisions for older people with advanced kidney disease. This requires person-centered information tailored to the goals of an individual. This session explores how to engage in shared decision-making for some of the key management decisions required regarding kidney replacement therapies.

- Compare and contrast advantages and disadvantages of kidney replacement therapies as they relate to increasing patient age
- Explain how increasing age and frailty may affect quality of life of older people with advanced kidney disease
