The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Diversity Summer Research Training Program (DSRTP) for Undergraduate Students provides an independent summer research experience at NIH laboratories to undergraduate students interested in research careers. The Kidney STARS program offers medical students, graduate students, residents, and PhD postdoctoral fellows within the first two years of training with an interest in nephrology the chance to attend Kidney Week! In addition to tailored events and networking opportunities, this program provides $1,000 in travel support, complimentary registration to attend the ASN Annual Meeting at Kidney Week, and complimentary membership to the society.

TREKS
The ASN Kidney TREKS (Tutored Research and Education for Kidney Scholars) Program offers medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows within their first year of training the opportunity to attend a week long research course at either the University of Chicago or the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory. ASN Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Award Program
The goal of the ASN Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Award Program is to fund PhD students to conduct original, meritorious research projects. This program will foster early career-stage PhD students, under the direction of a sponsor, who are highly motivated to make contributions to the understanding of kidney biology and disease.
