Session Description
AKI is one of the most common complications among hospitalized patients and affects patients across all demographic backgrounds. The risk of AKI and subsequent outcomes vary depending on demographic characteristics. This session highlights the epidemiology and outcomes of AKI according to demographic groups and presents specific management approaches.

- Develop an approach to managing critically ill pediatric patients with AKI
- Identify considerations in the management of critically ill older adults with AKI
- Describe sex-based differences in AKI risk and outcomes
