Translational Session
Vascular Calcification and CKD: Is It Time to Start Treating?
October 25, 2024 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 7, Convention Center
Session Description
Vascular calcification is a common complication of CKD. Although knowledge in this field has improved, we are far from a complete understanding of the pathophysiology. Several recent clinical trials have been conducted to try to slow the progression of vascular calcification.
Learning Objective(s)
- Summarize the pathophysiology of vascular calcification in CKD
- Describe the results of recent clinical trials studying vascular calcification in CKD
- Discuss the prevention and treatment of vascular calcification
Learning Pathway(s)
- Bones‚ Stones‚ and Mineral Metabolism
- CKD Non-Dialysis
