Basic/Clinical Science Session
Novel Therapeutic Avenues to Explore for ADPKD and Autosomal Dominant Tubulointerstitial Kidney Disease
October 26, 2024 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 2, Convention Center
Session Description
This session presents novel approaches to address the two most common forms of nonglomerular inherited kidney diseases: ADPKD and autosomal dominant tubulointerstitial kidney disease (ADTKD). Approaches target the kidney and liver cysts in ADPKD and the unfolded protein response in ADTKD are described.
Learning Objective(s)
- Discuss an approach to increase polycystin translation
- Identify therapies that target the immune and metabolic pathways
- Identify therapies that target cholesterol biosynthesis
- Explain therapeutic approaches for ADTKD
Learning Pathway(s)
- Genetic Diseases and Development
