Session Description
Bone disease is a critical component of CKD-MBD, with long overdue advances in our understanding of both the pathophysiology and optimal management. This session provides a framework for the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis in patients with CKD and in patients after transplant, using a combination of biomarkers and imaging. Mechanisms of action of modern therapeutics are also reviewed.
