Basic/Clinical Science Session
Dialysis Access Care: From Bench to Bedside
October 24, 2024 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 6C, Convention Center
Session Description
This session provides an update on the latest advances in our understanding of the mechanisms leading to vascular access failure. Highlights include dialysis access research updates, as well as common complications of hemodialysis access and evidence-based approaches to managing these complications. Complex biological mechanisms are broken down into simple concepts during concise and focused lectures.
Learning Objective(s)
- Discuss the latest research updates on primary failure of arteriovenous fistulas
- Identify therapeutic strategies to improve durability of vascular access
- Summarize updates on new technologies to create arteriovenous fistulas
Learning Pathway(s)
- Dialysis
- Interventional Nephrology
