For more than 25 years, ASN has offered the Board Review Course & Update (BRCU) as an interactive review for nephrologists preparing for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Nephrology Certification and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Exams. BRCU is structured to maximize readiness for these exams. BRCU is also a valuable complement for those participating in the ABIM Longitudinal Knowledge Assessment (LKA). Designed to optimize exam readiness and ongoing assessment through the LKA, this course serves as a comprehensive and essential update for practicing nephrologists and healthcare professionals.

BRCU is the gold standard to maximize your readiness for the ABIM Nephrology Board certification and recertification exams. This course also provides a comprehensive and essential update for practicing nephrologists and health care professionals.

Patterned After the ABIM Blueprint

Each BRCU topic section is patterned after the ABIM nephrology blueprint. This year, a combination of on-demand lectures, case discussions, ask-the-professor panels, small group sessions, and interactive games, reinforce key knowledge in nephrology. Relevant physiology and pathophysiology blend with clinical discussions to keep participants engaged and provide essential updates and preparation. Approximately five weeks prior to the start of the course, learners will receive access to all on-demand lectures to jump start your preparation for the in-person course.
