Terry Litchfield, MPH
Terry Foust Litchfield is currently the President of Access Solutions a consultative service focused on patient advocacy related to vascular access services. Prior to this recent role, Terry joined Lifeline Vascular Access from the beginning in 1997 and departed as Vice President of Clinical Operations. She has been active in the renal industry in a variety of capacities for over thirty years. Best known for her outcomes research and disease management for renal disease and chronic kidney disease patients, she is the author of a number of publications in the field. She is also a dedicated patient advocate: her late husband Bill celebrated 46-years of renal replacement therapy prior to his death so she is well familiar with the family side of renal care in addition to her professional activities in the field.
Previously, Terry was also a member of the founding group for RMS Disease Management, a former affiliate of Baxter Healthcare devoted to Renal Disease Management. With her renal background spanning more than two decades, she has held many influential positions throughout her career. Terry served as Executive Director for the Kelsey-Seybold Foundation for Medical Research and Education, an outcomes research foundation affiliated with the MedPartners group in addition to dialysis field development work for the World Health Organization (WHO) in the developing world.
Terry’s areas of expertise focus on renal care, vascular access program development, design and reporting as well as diabetes, high-risk obstetrics and the design and implementation of disease management programs with outcomes research for validation. She is also active in many patient organizations including Kidney Health Initiative’s Patient and Family Partnership Council, American Association of Kidney Patients and Dialysis Patient Citizens.
