Jeffrey A. Kraut, MD
Jeffrey A. Kraut, MD, is a graduate of New York Medical College, completed his residency at Montefiore Hospital of Albert Einstein Medical School, and a nephrology fellowship at Tufts University, New England Medical Center. He is a Professor of Medicine at David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine, Chief of the Dialysis Unit at Greater Los Angeles Veterans Administration Healthcare System, and an investigator in the UCLA Membrane Biology Laboratory. Dr. Kraut serves ASN as Co-Director of the Early Program on Diagnosis and Management of Disorders of Acid-Base, Fluid, and Electrolyte Balance, and a feature editor of the Acid-Base and Electrolyte Teaching Cases for the American Journal of Kidney Disease. He is a member of the Faculty of 1000 and his research includes developing new and innovative methods for the diagnosis and treatment of acid-base disorders.
