ESRD Proposed Bundled Payment System
Under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) of 2008, Congress required that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) begin to provide one “bundled” payment for dialysis care and drugs. In September 2009, CMS proposed how it may implement this new payment system in the ESRD Bundled Payment System Proposed Rule, and seeks public comment on its plan.
ASN Comments on ESRD Bundled Payment Proposed Rule
