A detailed study of the paradigm shift in therapy and administration of immunosuppression for transplantation
Program Highlights
As the number of small molecules being developed for prevention of allograft rejection declines, biologic agents will likely play a more prominent role in the prevention and treatment of allograft rejection, transplant management, and use in "desensitizing" protocols.
In fact, during the next decade, transplant professionals will increasingly require knowledge of the mechanisms and pharmacologic characteristics of a rapidly growing number of biologic agents. Understanding the utilities of such agents will be essential to improving the outcomes of solid organ transplant recipients. This unique symposium will provide an overview of biologic agents in current use, those in clinical trials, and others in the pre-clinical pipeline.
Who Should Attend
The meeting will be of interest to transplant physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, scientists and case managers interested in the pharmacologic prevention and treatment of allograft rejection.
