Staff Liaison
Charge

The Board of Advisors is responsible for (1) providing advice and counsel on matters dealing with research, education, publications, government relations and patient care; (2) maintaining an active liaison with all ASN committees and advisory groups to promote interactions and development of new programs and initiatives; (3) helping to formulate responses and position papers on issues which affect the discipline of nephrology and care of patients with renal disease; (4) anticipating and recommending new activities and services to meet the needs of the members of the ASN; and (5) assisting in the assessment of existing programs and new endeavors of the ASN, as well as collaborations with other societies and interactions with industry.

Membership

Members are the chairs of the ASN Advisory Groups and Committees, as well as representatives from relevant special interest societies.

Term

The terms for members of the Board of Advisors are the same as their terms as chair of advisory groups and committees, or as appointed by the relevant societies.
